I’m a huge fan of Skinfood toner pads. There are reasons why Skinfood toner pads were ranking highly in Hwahae app, apart from being endorsed by Korean celebrities. They are indeed very soft, juicy and work great at hydrating and calming the skin.
Here are my thoughts on the acorn “flavour” pad from Skinfood.
ABOUT
This is a toner pad that’s formulated using acorn extract from Korean Jirisan to regulate sebum and tighten pores for a firmer and smoother complexion.
KEY INGREDIENTS
- 10% Jirisan acorn extract (pores tightening)
- anti sebum complex (sebum regulating)
- peptides (firming & smoothing)
PACKAGING
It comes in a round jar with a twist open cap without a tweezer comes attached.
MATERIAL
The pads are made of soft, easily torn fabrics that adheres well onto skin with an embossed surface. You can use the embossed surface to swipe across your face as a gentle exfoliating pads to pick up any leftover residues or sebum on your face.
Each jar comes in 60 pads which you can split into half for both cheeks. In other words, each jar is good to last you for about 30 days using it twice per day.
ESSENCE
The pads are drenched in clear, watery essence that doesn’t leave a tacky finish. It feels somewhat “tingling” as you leave it on. Not very irritating, but definitely not as calming as its carrot or potatoes counterparts.
SCENT
It has a mild “sharp” scent that reminds me of tea tree but this smell gets milder as I keep the pads for longer.

INGREDIENTS ANALYSIS
EFFICACY
Honestly, I enjoy this far less than the carrot and potatoes one. The pads are somewhat rougher, the essence leaves a slightly tacky finish and that the pads feel a bit tingling on my skin when I put it on. I’ve tested it out quite consistently but I don’t really see much of a skin firming, or wrinkles repairing effects from it. As such, I am not planning to repurchase this acorn one when I finish using it in future.
I guess those with oily skin and large pores might benefit from it better.
