My Experience
The Ordinary Multi-Peptide Serum for Hair Density may come in a modest 60ml glass bottle, but don’t let the size fool you—a little goes a long way. Despite my sporadic usage—ranging from daily to every other day, then scaling back to a couple of times a week, then back to almost daily and so on—the bottle lasted me around 6 to 8 months. If you’re more consistent and use it every day without a break, expect one bottle to last around 3 months. This is worth noting because consistency is key with this serum. I’ve noticed that my roots are visibly healthier and stronger when I use the serum regularly, and the moment I skip applications for too long, the difference is noticeable. Repurchasing is essential for ongoing maintenance and results.
The Ordinary Multi-Peptide Serum for Hair Density is a lightweight, clear, and watery serum with a slight tacky residual film. Following the recommended usage of a few drops will likely keep the residue to a minimum, but personally, I prefer a more thorough application to get better coverage by parting my hair in sections and applying a few drops at each parting. While this method does leave a slight tackiness and sheen on my skin and hair due to more of the product being used, it’s not bothersome. In fact, my hair remains soft, manageable, and never clumpy, crispy or weighed down. I apply the serum like this at night before bed and then wash my hair in the morning every second or third day.
Don’t expect immediate results after the first use. However, if you stick with it, subtle changes begin to appear. Initially, I noticed that while my hair didn’t necessarily look denser, it did appear healthier and stronger, especially at the crown.
